Warriors still value JK and see a path to him being a long-term piece. Players break out at different points in their careers, and his arc has been unique. This could be his year. And while he’s tradeable, GSW may not want to move him.

They could be back at square one next summer.

The Warriors respected Aaron Turner’s hustle for his client and maintained a working relationship throughout. But some of Turner’s tactics didn’t always sit well with GSW folks.

“We knew this is the way he likes to deal, and it’s not the most fun.”

JK is one of the NBA’ best downhill scorers. He’s flashed elite two-way potential. But his usage rate and shot diet (94th percentile frequency/25th percentile efficiency in the midrange) can frustrate the Ws sideline.

On the court, something’s got to give.
