When I visited the Uxbridge Cadets, it was clear just how valuable the Government’s target to increase cadet numbers by 30% by 2030 is.

But to make sure we achieve this goal, we must support the incredible volunteers who make it all possible.

It’s absurd that, in the middle of a housing crisis, we’ve got sites like St. Andrews in Uxbridge half-built.

Alongside the Government’s plans to unlock these sites, I’ve been pushing the developer to get this one moving again so we can deliver the homes we really need.

As we grapple with the horrific news of Wayne Broadhurst’s murder, I know people are angry, scared, and want answers.

Our focus must now be on delivering justice.

Later today, I’ll meet with the Home Office to call for a full review into how this was allowed to happen.

Last week, I joined teachers, parents and pupils as they gathered to protest Hillingdon Council’s plans to amalgamate Harefield Infant and Junior School.

As the Government outlines a national review of airports policy, I pressed for proper engagement with residents in Hillingdon.

Any plans for Heathrow expansion MUST be compatible with our climate commitments, not impact air quality and respond to the very real local concerns.
