In 2002 my hubs and I got to spend a week in #Rome #Italy! It was a trip of a lifetime.

My camera was ever present and I have waited for all these years to paint some of the photos from that trip.

It was finally warm enough for me to get back into my studio. The sun was melting the snow on my metal roof and snow kept crashing down but thru it all I got to paint!

We got a lot of snow in Arkansas yesterday which is really unusual.

I tried working in my studio with the heater on and a space heater going full blast but I was too cold

So I spent the day inside, under my heated blanket with my cats on my lap.

This was a quick study using watercolors that I did several years ago. I found it recently tucked away deep in a sketchbook.

It needed something so I added some pen lines!

For many years my art was done on wet clay. I would make the piece in stoneware clay. When it got to just the right moisture level I would paint on underglaze and then scratch and etch it off to create my art! #sgraffito #pottery #clayart #stoneware #sunflowers
