By all accounts, Republicans understand Hegseth is a wildly unqualified drunk, but will vote to make him Secretary of Defense anyway out of fear of reprisals from Trump. This is by now almost boringly normal, but really reflect on the extraordinary cravenness and total lack of patriotism it implies.

The bottom line is, Trump should be in prison.
