For years, satellite infrastructure was treated by European policymakers as a technical utility rather than a strategic asset.

That all changed in 2022, when a cyberattack coincided with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

I think that any big tech company that walks away from AI will have celebrations like the end of Return of the Jedi. Is anyone having fun? Does anyone *really* like this? It all feels so strained, so distant. Even the people who love AI talk about it like someone has their family captive. It’s sad!

The contiguous United States has endured another searing summer. June was unusually warm, and a major heatwave afflicted nearly a third of the population late in the month, and July offered little relief.
The strange divide in how Americans experience summer temperatures | CNN
Average temperatures elide a complex reality: The country’s experience of hotter summers — and thus one of the most visceral aspects of climate change itself — is fractured along geographic lines.

It's critical for everyone to remember what an Executive Order is. It is the President communicating orders to members of the executive branch. Policies to pursue, actions to take, etc. They are not laws. They are not close to being laws. They are formalized memos to employees. That's all.
