Happy Thanksgiving Eve

Fraser Minten with a beautiful setup to Alex Steeves for the Boston Bruins first shorthanded goal of the season, Steeves second of the night, and it gives the Bruins a 3-1 lead in the 3rd period over the Islanders.

Great Boston Bruins stat from NESN:

Four times with multiple 40 goal scorers in a calendar year since 1975.

🐻 1982 (Middleton & Pederson)
🐻 2019 (Marchand & Pastrnak)

In all sincerity, I could probably make a valid case for all 26 Modern Era Semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame to be inducted as part of the Class of 2026. Given 5 votes, these are mine: Drew Brees, Larry Fitzgerald, Rodney Harrison, Adam Vinatieri, and Vince Wilfork.

The Boston Red Sox now have 9 potential starting pitchers for 2025: Garrett Crochet, Sonny Gray, Bryan Bello, Patrick Sandoval, Kutter Crawford, Kyle Harrison, Peyton Tolle, Connelly Early, and Hunter Dobbins.

Solid No. 2-type addition should still be an option. #RedSox

I don’t consider the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots rivals. They’ve never been good at the same time. When the Bills won 4 AFC titles in the early 90’s, the Patriots stunk. From 1996 to 2018, New England was in 10 Super Bowls, winning 6, while Buffalo had 0 playoff wins.

I honestly have no interest in Bill Belichick’s private life, but I do hope when he gets inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame that he does not pick his girlfriend to be his presenter.

I believe this might be my least controversial, and most universally approved take ever:

All yellow lights throughout the country should last for the exact same amount of time.

Whether Will Campbell misses a couple of weeks or a couple of months, Patriots fans should show some love and support for Vederian Lowe. New England needs him to play well, regardless of how long it is for.

Mike Vrabel narrowed the length of Will Campbell being out to somewhere “longer than a week or two” but shorter than “career ending” when asked about it this morning. Guessing most folks were assuming that already.

It’s time to acknowledge that Morgan Geekie isn’t just “playing well” or “having a nice run” but is a legit awesome hockey player. He was great for the Bruins last year and had already shown he wasn’t a one-hit wonder. He now has 45 goals in his last 82 games!

2024 - Patriots upset the Bengals on the road in Week 1 under new head coach Jerod Mayo, who gets a Gatorade shower. Patriots go 3-13 the rest of the season.

2025 - Patriots lose at home to the Raiders in Week 1 under new head coach Mike Vrabel. They’ve gone 9-1 since then. 🤷‍♂️

I’m no longer feeling too confident about my preseason prediction of the Buffalo Bills winning the AFC East.

Tom Brady’s career NFL ranks among players in their 40’s

• 1st in Passing Yards

• 2nd in Rushing Yards

• 2nd in Receiving Yards

These are 4 former NFL wide receivers. One is not in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The others are the 3 most recent wide receivers he played against who are enshrined in Canton.

How does this make sense @profootballhof.bsky.social?

I’m making 8 NBA “Dream Teams”. A player can only be on one team. This is the current 2020’s roster; any suggestions?

Jokic, Gobert, Sabonis
Antetokounmpo, Tatum
Butler, DeRozan
Doncic, Mitchell
SGA, Lillard, Brunson

Happy birthday to the one and only David Ortiz. When my 7-year old was fighting cancer, Big Papi sent over a care package that served as one of the bright spots during a very difficult time. Today he celebrates turning 50, but our family is happy to celebrate him always! 🎈🎉

There are 20 players in Cooperstown who primarily played second base. This is how Dustin Pedroia compares to 5 of those Baseball Hall of Fame inductees.

My personal opinion is that non-Browns fans are WAY too invested in the Shedeur Sanders situation, whether it’s hoping he fails or thinking a rookie drafted No. 144 overall is being done wrong at every turn. Settle down. If he’s a legit NFL QB he’ll get a chance to prove it.

If NFL Pro Bowl teams were decided today, these would be four of the six quarterbacks. Who would get the third spot for each conference?
