I know we’re all in the midst of unprecedented nation-wide trauma and awfulness, but please allow me to do a tiny bit of celebrating concerning a contract I just signed…

What’re YOU lookin’ at??

I had a whole novel outline written with one of the main characters named Hans until I realized things would need to belong to Hans. He quickly became Raoul.

More From the Vault: one of three issues I did way back when for super Super-editor Joey Cavalieri. He was one of the first to give me a shot at the DC pantheon.

FROM THE VAULT: my first-ever work for Marvel (one of the two projects I’ve done for them). 4-issue mini-series from 1999. It…had problems.

(One of) my current project(s) -- the gritty fantasy/mystery series THE DEMON-SLEUTH SCROLLS. Starring NYSSKA STONEGATE, a tall, fearsome, pan non-human woman forced into joining Imperial law enforcement and putting up with a bunch of bigoted human nonsense.

From the vault: a little Elseworlds project I did waaaaay back when, starring “The Bat,” “The Owl,” and “The Clock.” (Batman, Dr. Mid-Nite, and Hourman)

Another review for Mack Moon and the P.E.T.S. just showed up. Looks as though we’ve reached our target audience!

My first-ever published prose work, from back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. It debuted in a strange and mysterious new format called an “e-book.”

More ancient history. I was brought on board to wrap up a series that had gone off the rails, cut from 12 issues to 10. My directive: “Ahh, just kill ‘em all.” That proved to be a big Can Do!

So the awesome Alexandra Foucard and I collaborated on a TV pilot script based on my novel “The Storm,” and tonight we got a nice surprise…

Way back at the dawn of time I wrote an issue of Vampirella. It turned out to be the series finale. Years later, after a relaunch, I wrote another issue…which also proved to be the series finale. So I’ve managed to kill Vampirella twice.

FROM THE VAULT…
Thought I’d take a trip down Memory Lane, to mix metaphors horribly, and share the cover of one of my very first published projects. Dark Horse Comics adaptation of the 1932 Boris Karloff film. Words by Yours Truly.

The reviews are in!

…Okay, ONE review is in. It just came out, after all.

(This GN is definitely the most fun I’ve ever had writing the words “Marauding Monkey Multitude” a bunch of times.)

Well well well. Inviting people to follow me to BlueSky just “violated community standards” over on Threads. Talk about making my point for me.

There’s a road out there, believe it or not. I’m beginning to doubt the assurances I’ve been given about my package being delivered tomorrow.

Day 20 of Book 3. Working in a different environment, but still working. (If you’ve read either of the first two Demon-Sleuth books —or even if you haven’t — and would like to be on the ARC team for the third, hit me up.)

Day 10 of the new book. 2100 or so new words. (I don’t think I’m using this platform correctly.) ⌨️
