Most of the energy tonight is coming from wind, better charge those batteries

An incompetent former businessman president that triggers economic crisis through tariffs and blames everything on Mexicans. A young vibrant progressive from New York that shows a better more humane way in a time of economic hardship. Talking about Herbert Hoover & FDR. Pic unrelated.

Idk who needs to tell Ezra Klein that this is exactly what the UK Labour Party did – the cut benefits, attacked trans people, and went hard after immigrants – and this is the remarkable success that 1000 iq move brought them:

A biblically accurate depiction of the UK Labour Party

I’m sad to say that the British Government has learned nothing from this ordeal and we are in the midst of another tragedy that will be remembered in the same breath as the “appalling” treatment of Alan Turing.

I’m moving in a month and in my new constituency they are the second largest party. Although Labour leads the Greens need to get only 4500 votes from them to win. That’s not a small number but not impossible to achieve for 2029

This is for the General election. Labour got more Tory voters than it lost to Reform and the Tories lost almost the same amount of non voters that went to Reform. It’s clear that Reform is gaining primarily from the Tories meanwhile the LibDems & Greens are slowly eating at Labour’s base

This is for the GE

That’s the version of the double arrow that is used by National Rail. GB Rail will use this.

Not surprised by the results :)

Few years ago Labour would have been my preferred party followed closely by the LibDems, but now it’s the Greens and the LibDems.

Even Claude agrees this is kind of fucked up. Its own internal “thought process” sounds concerned.

Barely 30% of Americans elected you, why are you telling us what to do in our country?

It’s really hard to overstate how much of a global leader the UK is in reducing carbon emissions. Our current territorial emissions – coming from the UK – are the lowest since 1855 and our consumption based emissions – those generated through offshoring – are the lowest since 1865

Once again the reason we don’t have enough housing is the lack of public sector housing and qualified construction workers, not regulation. The government needs to abandon the 1990s and start living in the 21st century #ukpol

Also for anyone wondering, there’s this graphic that explains what I mean
May 5, 2025 at 9:49 PM
Immigrants are an easy target, people don’t really care about foreigners the way they care about locals and that’s being viciously exploited by demagogues. The thing is that for years the government has been told the issue with housing is the lack of supply and they did nothing.

These are the girls that the government wants to ban from playing sports.

For example CfDs with a revenue floor system will stabilise prices and incentivise long term investment, while GB Energy will provide strategic direction and make sure new technologies receive funding

This! I'm tired of people talking about biology, women's safety or sports when those things are completely irrelevant to the conversation. An evangelical pastor in the middle of nowhere flyover country doesn't give a hoot about feminism or Charles Darwin, but they sure like to remove bodily autonomy
