The following paragraph was an explanation in the museum about examples of pamphlets made centuries ago to persecute witches:

"The number of people who could read increased rapidly during the time of the witch hunts, and pamphlets were a cheap way for people to find out about news stories...

People with any inclination for Medicine; Pharmacology; any reasonable talent for singing, cooking or writing; but also people considered too ugly, too old or too beautiful were almost certainly framed with Witchcraft. They were often accused by their neighbours and even their own children.
