They aren’t even making money. Every request costs them a fortune relative to the revenue it generates

Just the latest instalment of conservative Christian “cancel culture”. The same thing happened with Harry Potter back in the day.

It’s already hard enough finding a GP in the city, I can’t imagine how tough it must be in rural areas.

This is a problem that could be easily fixed with govt $. Not every issue can, but this one should be simple: don’t give me a tax cut, keep the $25 or whatever, and use it to train/hire more GPs.

A real swing for the fence by the moderates but probably what needs to happen if they want to be viable in a generations time

Another country went and put themselves on top of the Yanks’ oil.

You’d think they’d learn…

The current system reinforces gender roles - women obviously need time to recover & get in the swing of feeding etc - that goes beyond the 2 weeks many men get

We are due next year. My work offers 3weeks but the saying I cant use my 30+days of accrued personal/carers leave (as its nonmedical). Nuts

Equalising “supporting” parent leave (aka paternity leave in most cases) would also help given mothers a lot more options for managing and growing their careers too rather than the sacrifice almost always falling on them

It’s so fucking wired. It’s foreigners talking to other foreigners about how different foreigners are a problem all without actually being on the ground or experiencing the supposed “issue”.

The apolitical premier league community over there is still huge, but there has been a steady drift, if they tinker with the feed again I wouldn’t be shocked to see another wave.

As a leader of the party he shouldn’t have waited to endorse the choice of Democratic voters

You definitely can at some polling places (in exactly the types of constituencies you’d assume) but many also have cake stalls etc

There is basically a whole genre of YouTube content based around reactions channels discovering they can mine Australians for engagement by listening to pub rock and John Farnham

When I worked in local government all the staff thought the election should just be held at the same time as the state government elections. You’ve already got everyone there - one more sheet of paper wouldn’t hurt.

It’s so crazy that they can’t even reach me, a former member, 10 mins from Hindmarsh. Surely the cheapest social media campaign should be able to get me

The pro hooliganism Times?

The first one I ordered though arrived with shock pins but disabled with these rubber covers after it was marketed as vibrate/beep only.

I returned it as it seemed like a pretty suss ploy to skirt animal protection laws and an accident waiting to happen.
October 18, 2025 at 8:21 AM
So what’s the go? Is it a training collar but with shock pins disabled or with them in?

We use remote one (but vibrate/beep only) for our dog when we had issues with him becoming a “nuisance barker” after being repeatedly teased through the fence by a kid

You’re a great Econ communicator, but this take sucks. As someone with Dysgraphia a next-word-predictor is a very useful tool for me, but I also use it enough to know it make mistakes constantly, it shouldn’t have any rights to people’s IP (unless it applies to all industries) and they’re overhyped

They all parrot the same lame joke every time Tom Morello says anything
