Glad this appeared in @chicagotribune.com today. Includes signatures of CEOs of Chicago & Illinois Chambers of Commerce & other business folks, & from faith & philanthropic sectors. But worth noting how few business types actually signed, & that some of these business orgs helped get us here.

Never mind the fact that a 50 year mortgage is a bad idea [rate will be higher so won’t save much, build equity more slowly, and could have a (likely small) upward effect on prices]

When the primary concern you articulate as a religious "leader" about Miller-Trump immigration policy is that detainees be able to receive the sacraments, I think maybe you've lost the plot...

Yet another study showing the federal Opportunity Zone is flowing predominantly to neighborhoods already showing signs of gentrification & probably subsidizing continued gentrification rather than fostering responsible reinvestment.

I know there are so many more violent things being done by ICE/DHS, but there are so many ways in which the terrorizing of Chicago is sapping this city, hurting this city, every day.

Old-line machine/regime candidate Marci Overstreet (endorsed by Mayor) has turned to some ugly tactics in race for Atlanta city council president.
Using “outsider agitator” shtick, and terms like “Bachelor”, “Palestinian radical” donors, and “greedy CEO” (he is on leave from running a nonprofit)
