I think it’s German? Posted below. I just know that every recipe online is for crinkle molasses cookies and his looked very different like the one in the picture below but the recipes are so different. They were smooth and had some craggly lines on top and are brushed with egg.

Excuse me it makes about 12 dozen. I’m reading this recipe wrong but you can see why…currently debating if I do 400 or 375 degrees.

Finally found a recipe where the picture matches my memories. My PA Dutch grandpa always made everyone molasses cookies at Christmas time and THIS is how they looked. Smooth, shiny, and super dark! This recipe is completely different but I’m going to attempt his recipe this weekend.
