Hey! I'm a yoga teacher, focused on Yin, Restorative and Chair Yoga as well as Yoga Nidra. I am a medical intuitive and a Reiki Master and trainer. I am a meditation guide and a trained death doula! In my spare time I read, swim and makes scarves!
Reconnect to who you are. Deep down, to your core, who are you really? It is hard to stay positive right now, truly, it is understandable. Come back to centre. To the core of your being and find the light. Spend time with the Earth whether it's a walk/run/hike or visit to a zoo. Be with nature now.

Boundaries are important. Stick to them! For some people, that's really hard to do, for some, it's really easy. Whatever it is for you, try. Stand up for yourself and don't let others walk on you. You're not a floor mat, you're a loved being. Xo

In tumultuous times, turn inward - breathe in for four, exhale for six. Do a few rounds of these. Know your own truth. Offering love, compassion and light.

Whatever happens, never forget: READING FOR PLEASURE has the biggest positive impact of any factor on children's life chances. So always make time to share books with kids, and help them find books to love. Make reading central to everything you do. It will change their lives forever!

Hi friends? Did you know that the word “mindfulness” originally meant “remembering”?

It’s a practice of remembering-

-To return to the present moment when the mind wanders off

-Why we practice in the first place.

Check out this article I wrote for @us.theconversation.com.

Cheers!
Mindfulness is about ‘remembering’ − a practice of coming back to the now
The point of mindfulness is not to be more productive at work or just to relax − it is inner transformation.

Everything is about balance. Yes, too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. While obviously some things are, there isn't much that is completely black and white. Social media time is okay, all day is obviously bad. Black and white thinking is lack of insight and emotional maturity. Learn things.

Love yourself today, truly love yourself. Don't get mad at yourself for any flaw you've had, don't hate that unmanageable curly hair or that lacklustre straight hair, don't be annoyed with being in pain and doing the things you need to do. Listen to your body, clear your energy and love your life.

Who are you connected to most? Not what your birth sign says, but YOU? Earth, Wind, Fire, Water? Which Spirit feeds your white wolf? Water and Earth feed my Soul. Have a blessed week. 🌈

Meditation doesn't always mean sitting cross legged on the floor with a straight spine doing breathwork with your eyes closed. It's being aware of your surroundings without judgement. Pure observation.

Happy solstice!! The dark is not always bad! Winter is a time of rest. Time to digest the growth, sowing and harvest seasons. Time to enjoy calm with family and friends and gather strength for the new seasons upcoming. Enjoy the rest. Blessings 🌈🌻

There is a misconception that yoga is supposed to be easy. *Spoiler alert * it's not. It is supposed to push you past your comfort and for you to realize you actually can do it. It helps you let go of ego and listen to your body instead of giving up when it's too hard unless it hurts you. Blessings

Yoga is gorgous. You can leave a class feeling grounded and energized. But it's not always rainbows. It has to rain in order to become a rainbow. Sometimes you're going to leave on shakier ground than a building site. Embrace it. It's part of the beautiful journey. You're rainbow will shine.

To my fellow hypermobile yogis/yoginis: if you're in your 20's or early 30's...your party tricks of folding into a pretzel will start injure you more later. Please learn about your condition and modify so you can still get a good stretch without tearing or dislocating. 🌈🌿🌻

Be mindful that you're doing internal, Soul work when you're practicing asana and when you're living the principles of yoga. It's always for the greater good, but it's not always sunshine and rainbows. Remember, you are loved. Blessings. 🌈

🤣🤣 everyBODY is welcome in a yoga class. That being said, if you've never done yoga in your life, maybe don't go to an expert level hot power class. If what's stopping you from going to a class is not being able to do xyz, just go! Modify! Ask your instructor to help you. Enjoy!! 🌈

You don't need fancy tight clothes to participate in a gathering for asana aka a yoga class. Western culture has branded yoga to be solely fitness. Physical/movement - is one piece of yoga. There is no mandate for clothing, wear what's comfortable.

Yoga is knowing there's a storm but also knowing you're going to be okay.

Restorative Yoga is a rest and digest practice. It allows you to go within and heal the inner. It allows you to heal your body and calm the inner turmoil. It is an ideal practice to help heal injuries. Both physical and moral. It's an underrated practice in western culture today. Give it a try! 🌈

No matter where we are, it's a humbling thought: we are a tiny speck in an endless cosmos, surrounded by a majestic emptiness filled with the light of distant worlds. 👽

The Earth comes with an infinite sky, a reminder of the limitless possibilities and mysteries that await us. 🌌✨ #Space #nightsky

A common misconception of Yoga Nidra is that it is "sleep yoga". In actuality, you are not supposed to sleep during Yoga Nidra! It is a powerful practice of total awareness while in a meditative state. In between awake and asleep. You should not lose consciousness and disconnect the physical. Enjoy!

Yin Yoga is NOT lazy girl yoga as I've heard so often. On the contrary, Yin Yoga requires deep focus on breathe and pushing through discomfort too the point of releasing fascia, aiding in injury recovery. Give it a try today! You're body, spirit and mental health will thank you!

Chair Yoga is not just for senior citizens. It was developed in 1982 by Lakshmi Voelker as an adaptive yoga. One where all bodies, regardless of age, mental condition or physical limitation could practice asana in some form. It was developed to be accessible. Give it a try! Blessings 🌈🌻

Yoga is not "just" asana. It's a set of lifestyle changes for a healthier, happier body, mind and connected soul.
