This cut was a REAL challenge!

For Nocturne Episode 3, we wanted Edouard to have a brilliant felt coat with a pattern, but drawing that would be very complex. In his big turnaround shot, I put in a lot of care to make the pattern have shape and dimension. Lotsa steps went into that. Take a look!

Wanted to show off this breakdown from this TINKERHELL scene; it was real important to me that we establish this tiny thing as something truly unnerving when we get a closeup of her face so the post production REALLY went all out on this cut. Take a look!

One thing that often gets overlooked in the 2D #compositing workflow: Cameras!

Sometimes you're provided a rough draft from production / pre-pro, and it's your job to smooth it out & take it to the next level.

With this cut in particular, since the image was a still frame, I had the liberty to go the extra mile and separate Lenore's hair into "fields," allowing me to give her hair some extra dimension.

Last 2 images, you can compare not having that extra depth w/ the final result~!

Sometimes, #animation cuts are just a still image of very detailed #art. When that happens, it only makes sense for me to go a little extra!

For one sequence in Castlevania Season 3, I was in charge of plussing a very... intimate moment, so here's some steps that went into that 😳🙈💖

If I had infinite time I woulda gone all-in with the rough pencil texture on the geldman, but I didn't want parker waiting on me to upload this 😂

By the way, the flare was set up to emulate how the sword glint *and* the extra flare on the right look in the artwork! (For when link raises his sword!)
