Hi everyone! I'm an investigative reporter who's written for Mother Jones, CNBC, USATODAY, etc. I wanted to plug some of my work here but I’m open to any tips or leads especially here in the Bay Area and California. I made the move from DC to here, so feel free to send any recs!
Outside the Stockton Processing Center, a few folks were scheduled for a check in appointment after yesterday’s news of 25 people detained here. It’s unusual for this ERO facility to be opened and schedule check-in appointments. This is what the scene looks like right now. @motherjones.com

It’s day one since yesterday’s arrival of federal agents inside the Alameda Coast Guard island. We saw earlier this morning at 7:44 am, FBI and other security personnel examining the scene from last night’s incident. They have blocked and barricaded the only entrance and exit point into the island.
