Hardly. Anne Hidalgo will be remembered as the shameless incompetent who defaced the city and its finances. Only clueless people who haven't lived in Paris would praise her actions, who mainly consisted in wrecking the city.

Wasting billions for a few people to swim in the (still) filthy Seine shows the utter lack of consideration for the taxpayer's money.

Meanwhile, the city she's been overseeing is as dirty as ever and they use duct tape all over broken lampposts.
