Does it count as not "using 8s" if we make it 64 * 11, then (64 * 10) + (64 * 1) to get 704?

As a parent of elementary-aged kids, I can concur that this seems accurate. Last week included a worksheet on invertebrates, a reading about chlorophyll, and some activity about spitting cobras... (I guess comparatively those are somewhat related, though. :) )

As a high school teacher (across the street from you actually!) I'd love to hear more about your impression of those perspectives. I'm frequently in conversations with colleagues who made bold statements about what "happens in college" even though my own experiences don't match. 🤷🏻♂️
