I am still trying to follow my favorites elsewhere, and then I’ll be deleting TikTok. I did disable my Meta platforms in the middle of this mess. I’m giving it a week, then going back in to save pictures, dismantle my business page, and then I’m outta there.
Most people slept through the bulk of TikTok’s outage. But the political play and a list of things that seem new or different on the app have left a bad taste in some users’ mouths.

I finally realized what bugs me about the TikTok notice: it’s not that Trump may save it, it’s the ‘we need his permission’ vibe. It feels very Handmaid’s Tale. I don’t need permission to post on a social platform. TikTok, you’re starting to feel like a bad place. Never OfTrump
