Ice has been present in Iceland since at least the mid-Holocene. Since humans have colonized it, glaciers and ice caps have been always present.

There's simply no alternative other than the cessation of the burning of fossil fuels en masse. We have scalable replacement technologies already in use, costs won't be onerous and the transition will spur GDP. But it will require billionaires to equitably share a multi-trillion $ pie.
