You’re very welcome. I can’t wait to carve out some time to have a look at all the research being done!

It baffles me how books that are this old can remain in such good condition.

Think you could be right on that

Amazing how much work has gone into this and the inclusion of citizen scientists. It’s a great initiative to shine a light on the worker accidents that may otherwise have been forgotten about.

This is such an interesting read. I wonder if it would make a good tv show, an old school gangster having to adapt to modern practices?

Great read! I need to learn more about the Sabbatarian riot. Just watched the video of the Harry Potter train over the Glenfinnan viaduct. I went over it in winter 2023 on the way to Mallaig from Fort William. Unfortunately, I was not on the steam train.

I’ve currently got a copy sitting on my bookshelf waiting to be read. I vaguely remember reading it at school and it being devastating

Between William and Jonathan, my money would be on Jonathan to win an argument. Although it would be tricky to give each other the silent treatment while recording a podcast.

Thank you! It sounds really good. I don’t usually read fantasy so it could be a nice stepping stone.

This seems very fitting! I’ll put it on the tbr

I’m in a similar position of trying to ease back into reading. I might have to implement the 1 book a month because at the minute my “routine” is incredibly sporadic! It appears to have worked for you.

Have you got another goal in mind now that you have smashed the initial 12 books in a year?

They are such striking sentences. I've been thinking about it all day. I can't quite describe what it is about them though.

I like that approach 😂

It would have been nice to see more attention directed towards social care. However, the expansion of free school meals and also the Autumn Budget and Child Poverty Strategy will hopefully be promising. Apart from that, the budget presents a welcome change imo.

I have certainly enjoyed it! It is definitely a book best read in summer.

Having just finished it, I have to agree.

I would highly recommend the book! I thought it wouldn't make sense to go from reading nothing to tackling War and Peace right away 😂
