Yes it’s more complex but the basic premise remains: we have to stop burning all fossil fuels, asap, end of story. Not keep them going thru magic tech or offsets.

I agree, but sadly lots of local governments are betting and relying on them as the only way to protect crucial habitat patches, the money coming from them being the only deterrent for a lot of communities not to sell their land to developers and industrial farming, specially in the global south.

¿Su principal amenaza? la deforestación desmedida en la región costera para la contrucción de desarrollos inmobiliarios (principalmente dirigidos a extranjeros a modo de clubs de playa y lotes de inversión), el comercio ilegal de esta especie tambien es de gran importancia.
