(from the inbox) Less than an hour later this morning, just before 10:30 at Roscoe and Harding, feds again released gas as they were driving away, unobstructed, from a relatively small number of neighbors.

That was soooo not where I was with my logic, and that was clear. But go off, I guess.

Yes, that I can see.

I see where your thinking is now. You're looking beyond Chicago, and beyond local neighborhood incidents.

Thank you for clarifying that, because my brain is used to seeing patterns in the context of local/citywide crime patterns.

I have this issue
May 28, 2025 at 2:12 PM
Anytime someone is killed in any accident....be it an auto collision, bike/motorcycle accident, home accident, work accident, it's tragic and sad.

But to say a pattern exists where there's no evidence is literally to push a lie.

If evidence showed intentional targeting, then ok.

I'm sorry, but this doesn't make sense. The reason it doesn't make sense is that the everyday things we do in going about living life in the world are both intentional, AND attached to risks. Living daily life comes with the risk of injury and death.

What are you trying to prove?
May 27, 2025 at 6:20 PM
I never said driving wasn't intentional, nor did I argue against it. I just don't see the point being made.

Walking is intentional, breathing is intentional, 99% of survival is intentional.

What point are you trying to make?
May 27, 2025 at 5:48 PM
Yes, driving is intentional. We all know that. You aren't making a coherent or reasonable point.
May 27, 2025 at 5:27 PM
But you literally ARE saying that because you're arguing people shouldn't drive because driving is intentional.

That holds no logic and no serious thought.

I'm sorry if you or someone you care about got hurt or killed. My compassion is with you and anyone hurt or killed.

What intentional actions though?

If you're talking about driving recklessly, such as speeding and/or blowing red lights, yes, those are crimes, and they become inexcusable when they severely injure or kill.

If your whole point is cars shouldn't exist, nobody can take that seriously

Inexcusable behavior. Criminally Reckless and malicious. Hopefully the investigation finds the intent was to kill.

That's usually 1st Degree Murder. Sometimes it can be a lesser charge. Each case is different
May 27, 2025 at 4:28 PM
It's a personal choice and a calculated risk.

Drive safely and stay within the law, and most times everyone will be fine
May 27, 2025 at 4:27 PM
The difference is that the intent to Murder turns on a dime here. The investigatory findings have to support the criminal intent to knowingly take a life.

If it shows only negligence, the state can try a manslaughter or 2nd Degree Murder case. To prove 2nd degree, you gotta prove 1st degree.
