Fan of picking things up and putting them down, Pittsburgh sports, and fighting fires (both literally and figuratively). Regrettably politics obsessed.
First and foremost a wife guy.

No matter what laws are passed, trans and non-binary people will continue to exist, and they will always have my support for their autonomy, respect, and safety.

So proud of my students who participated in the Pittsburgh regional Seaperch competition today! It was great to see all their hard work come to fruition.

Term limits have the potential to lead to a more representative County government, reduce complacency in our elected officials, and curb corruption. I look forward to introducing this piece of legislation tonight.

Allegheny County voters could weigh in on term limits for elected positions
County Council and row office holders would be subject to a three-term limit if voters approve a proposal being introduced at County Council Tuesday.

Thank you @repdanmiller.com for highlighting the importance of protecting access to Medicaid. If Congressional Republicans succeed in cutting Medicaid, millions will be stripped of access to the doctors, medications and therapists they so desperately need.

I was fortunate enough to attend a wonderful fundraiser for two great candidates for the Court of Common Pleas last night: @votedanmiller.bsky.social and Judge Cowan! Dan and Alyssa are absolutely deserving of two of your eight votes! Thanks @natyappgh.bsky.social for organizing an amazing event!

Correcting prior post: @dangrzybek.bsky.social has his County Commissioner hat on and gives us an update, then changes to Democrat hat and talks about the open seat at large… then adds surrogate hat and addresses the committee for Hilary Wheatley and Matt Rudzki.

Got an absolutely massive bet with Cassie today. Loser has to stand and aggressively clap when the plane lands on the next flight we take. I have the Eagles. She has the Chiefs. #GoBirds

This month we honor and celebrate the rich history and contributions of Black Americans. As indicated by our current political climate, there is still much work to be done in the fight for equality and acceptance.

I believe our country would be in a far better place if our leaders followed all of Dr. King's teachings, rather than the bastardized, whitewashed version of his vision that gets trotted out every MLK day.

Only reason Fetterman isn't on this list is because he was absent for yet another vote.
The 10 Senate Democrats who joined Republicans to break filibuster & advance the Laken Riley Act:
Catherine Cortez Masto, NV
Ruben Gallego, AZ
Maggie Hassan, NH
Mark Kelly, AZ
Jon Ossoff, GA
Gary Peters, MI
Jackie Rosen, NV
Jeanne Shaheen, NH
Elissa Slotkin, MI
Mark Warner, VA
Senate has voted 61-35 to break filibuster on the Laken Riley Act. With the help of 10 Democrats, the bill directing detention of migrants without due process will now advance.

Democrats also helped make bill's authority even wider than when it was first introduced.

Imagine if 2 weeks before the inauguration in 2021, a top donor to Biden, who he had appointed to a top position in his administration, had gone on Twitter & said to a member of the public ‘f u retard’. Imagine the media response - and the pressure on Biden.

Just imagine.
