It's that time of year again! Autism "Awareness" Month often coincides with a spike in ableist profiteering from orgs like A$ that want to take advantage of well-meaning non-autistics.

Don't be that person- listen to autistic advocates and steer away from the grifters this April.
#AutismAcceptanceMonth starts tomorrow. Please don't give to Autism Speaks; their $$ rarely supports autistic people/families, and their 'awareness' work portrays autistic people as burdens, not humans. From @autisticadvocacy.org, a good org to support instead.
