Metal covers, gifted to us by my in-laws. Husband was going to build them from scratch w/wood but his father said don't go to all that trouble, I'll buy them for you. This was back in 2004 or 5 & I don't remember the company. They were custom made w/removable top & metal enclosure.

Bought insulation & wrapped the 2 boiler pipes. Also took old wool army blankets & wrapped the radiators then put the radiator covers back. Helped enormously. Radiators are decades old (walk up building built in 1920) & would require much $$$ to repair/replace (which means MCI & rent increase)

3 of 3 (sorry, thought it would be 2) & I have to restart the app and/or the device to get it to work. Overdrive ruined a wonderful program with their tinkering. That's it. Thanks for listening to my rant 😆

2 of 2 Stopped getting audio books on my tablet bcause they are troublesome. Took Libby off my phone bcause it rarely worked. Downloading books (audio & regular) is a chore & it's not my devices cause it happens on all of them, phone (removed), tablet & desktop. I get error msgs constantly

1 of 2 Desktop app was what's left of old Overdrive. This will have to be 2 skeets cause there's too much for one post. Find it unstable, cumbersome & difficult to use. Overdrive was simple, easy to use, easy to figure out & well designed. In redesigning it they replaced functionality for looks

OMG so glad to know another Blood Brothers hater. Everyone I know loves it. I would rather drink bleach.

I knew Charles. Took classes from him at UofM & became friendly. He was very open to his students. His partner of over 50 years, Terry Kilburn (97yo), is still alive & living in Minneapolis. Charles died in 2010.

2/2 My affection for the site comes from the wonderful books I've read that can't get even through inter-loan. I wish it was just an on-line lending library. I hope that something can be resolved through the lawsuit. I'm disappointed to find piracy (honestly had no idea) like this.

1/2 Your book is there. I had no idea it was available esp as an epub until this conversation. I looked for you as creator & got no hits but looked for the title & there it is. I agree, it (& others not OOP) shouldn't be there as a download. It does color my view of IA now.

Hotel Universe (and other Barry plays) are available at the currently embattled Internet Archive (@archive.org), a magnificent resource for many hard to find works. I hope the court case is decided in their favor.

Can't vouch for the quality but the National Theatre cast recording has been uploaded to YouTube. It looks complete.

And in 1969 he recorded an album called "I'll Sing for You" which consisted of standards usually sung by women, such as "The Man I Love" and "I'm in Love With a Wonderful Guy." Go to Queer Music Heritage for more about the record & to stream the tracks www.queermusicheritage.com/sep2004zc.html

I know so many people who LOVE this song but I loathe and detest MacArthur Park and I will turn it off of whatever device is spitting it out. One of the worst songs in the history of modern music. There are other awful songs but nothing triggers me like MacArthur Park.

Phoebe & Henry Ephron made changes to the script when they adapted the play. It's a love story btwn Hepburn & Tracy. Plot is the same, computers coming to the workplace, but there is little interaction btwn Bunny & Sumner & she ends up w/Cutler
