Every home on that road burned. My grandparents old house burned, the only thing that remained was the chimney, and a burnt up husk of a tree that my grandma put a tire swing on for us kids growing up. They removed the tree a couple years ago.

One of the few horror movies that made me cry bc of how bleak the twist was, in addition to having some pretty decent jump scares. Good fucking movie. Depressing as hell, but so good.
