Never stop being beautiful, New York.
I try not to get apoplectic about every single thing, but this partial guest list for Jamal Khashoggi's murderer's state dinner is making me bust a blood vessel.

This is a great ad for the special US House election in TN 07 — a +10 Trump district that the GOP is panicking over (and pouring huge amounts of money into). This is the exact type of district Trump is hoping will save his bacon next November. Good luck with that, loser!

Something that I'm sure all artists experience at some point is finding themselves in a creative partnership with someone who thinks that they're a genius, when they decidedly are not. This can be extremely annoying when you actually 𝘢𝘳𝘦 a genius.

Sometimes you ask somebody for a sanity check & find out that you’re actually insane.

Sometimes you start messing around with an idea pegged to the death of the penny, but you end up with nothing but a renewed appreciation of just how damn good Rob Lowe was in The West Wing.

Hey, you know what Jeffrey Epstein doesn’t do in any of those 23,000 emails & documents? Exhibit any sort of suicidal ideation, mention any regrets or depressive episodes, or in any way display behavior that would indicate that he was thinking about killing himself. I wonder why?

Remember when this used to be so unthinkable that it was amusing?

Classic Nextdoor post (and also exhibit #1 in why I try not to think too hard about what my parents are doing on the internet).

It's like honestly, you don't even want to know what's going on in the Trump White House right now.

Hey, look what I just spotted on I-95 South leaving New Jersey!

I’ll preface this by saying that I’m as far from a conspiracy theorist as you can get, & think that the conspiratorial mindset is one of the main things destroying civil society today.

Having said that, I’m still pretty sure that Dick Cheney had Flight 93 shot down over Pennsylvania.

This quote from the CEO of Coverd - an app that lets you "bet on your bills" - has to be the Citizen Kane of insufferable corporate-jargon bullshit.

I realized that this is so much better with the actual Scanners audio layered underneath.

Boy the Cuomo campaign is really stretching here. Either that, or I totally missed Mamdani’s pro-prostitution platform. I’m intrigued: tell me more!

Happy Halloween, Bluesky! You know, I hate that I now live in a country where, after painstakingly creating a funny clip that pays tribute to my first favorite horror movie ever (Scanners, natch), I'm afraid that government goons may knock down my door for posting it. But whatever. YOLO, right?

From the “fish rots from the head” department: In an NPR story about people who pirate sports broadcasts (due to the outrageous price of streaming, natch) one interviewee quipped “Every system can be finessed - just ask the president.”
