I have found that's no different, regardless of age. There's plenty of people that just vote how their families vote for generations without thinking about it because it's something they have to do. Without actual civics lessons in our curriculum, we're unlikely to break out of it.

It's a fair point. The rhetoric could be adopted to target vulnerable people who need welfare to survive. Maybe, "If someone is able to pay tax, they should be able to have representation" - but there's still ableist language there... Gosh it's difficult to come up with a policy slogan...

I mean it's not a boxing match, but at least it wasn't an American leadership debate and we had some civil debate.

I think he did alright. Albanese walked over him a bit and kept dragging things out, but kept the debate on track and brought the questions back after they went down rabbit holes

1. Not a liberal shyster. For transparency, I lean quite progressively.

2. It's $268/yr in 26-27, then $536/yr after that. That's $22.33/mo and $44.66/mo, respectively or $5.58/wk then $11.16/wk, respectively. (Calculation done: (268 / 12) /4))

That's true. The times have since shifted primarily towards bigger homes with the way houses are built and lived in now.

It's unfortunate, but as the majority voter base has shifted from Baby Boomers to Millennial and Gen Z, that's where policy will be focused.
