Trump wants to isolate the U.S with tariffs on allies, out of the UN, climate denial but still expects global loyalty on Israel, Russia, and more. You can't abandon the world and still dictate its values. That's not leadership. It's hypocrisy. #Trump #Ukraine #Israel #USPol #tariffs

If we value democracy and pluralism, Charlie Kirk’s death must be met with horror—not celebration. Disagreement, even deep, must never justify violence. Coexistence with opposing views is a cornerstone of any free society. Our moral compass must not waver when faced with political division. #Utah

Something I saw online, and now I'm entirely convinced by is homophobic people who believe being #gay is a lifestyle choice are just closeted #bisexuals because they made the explicit decision to be straight. #lgbt #loveislove #gaypride

Nobody likes paying taxes, but few consider what cutting them means for the country. Instead of complaining and expecting others to fix things, people should offer solutions; yet critics often reject ideas without offering better ones.

Nazi is fired because he incorrectly thinks the 1st protects him from consequences for admitting he's abusing free democratic processes to remove it for everyone else. Fact check: 1st Amendment only protects you from government consequences. Not private consequences, like employment. #USPol #Jubilee

We're 500 days out from the next Victorian election and not a viable alt govt in sight.

Who's going to solve the budget deficit? Who's going to protect the vulnerable from abuse and bigotry? Who's going to keep the state growing?

Don't just vote a govt out. Vote a govt in. #VicPol #AusPol

With the UK considering legislation to allow 16 year olds to vote, should Australia consider it as well? I think so, to some degree. I think the question should be framed as, "Should everyone who pays taxes be able to vote?". I think it's a lot easier to say Yes. #auspol

As I see it, suspending Habeus Corpus means there's no real difference in being a law abiding citizen or not. How is the US government gonna prove the law was broken if there's not a system of proof? #uspol #trump #habeuscorpus

Honestly, it’s poetic that Dutton lost to a disabled, immigrant single mum.

The guy spent his 25 years pushing cuts to disability support, demonising asylum seekers, and sneering at single mums on welfare and then bam, democracy gave him a taste of poetic justice with a side of Centrelink. #AusPol

I'm sad that society has seemingly reverted to the interests of only the stale, pale or male. What is so bad about acknowledging and celebrating our diverse and rich history together, rather than attacking those that aren't as stale, or pale or male... #auspol

According to Poll Bludger, PHON and GRNs are seeing increases. 2.3% and 0.86%, respectively. LIBs have support collapse LAB takes things back. After preferences 0.5% swing towards LAB.

What does this mean? What everyone has been saying. Likely a LAB minority, but possibly a majority. #auspol

Lenovo launches new 5G router for multiple SIM cards
Lenovo is introducing a new 5G router that supports three SIM cards and dual-band WiFi. This should allow for high and stable internet speeds, although there’s one rather significant limitation.

After watching the debate on ABC, I walked in thinking that Albanese had all the momentum as Dutton kept stumbling in the campaign - but Albanese has stumbled where Dutton managed. It wasn't clear cut, but I think it has definitely a win for Dutton. #auspol

A good response from Liberal Party where they're planning to repeal Labor's $10/week tax cut. I don't necessarily agree with the approach, but it definitely offers a better immediate kick for Australians. #auspol

Good policy from Labor for housing, a little bit tamer (possibly more realistic). Not direct incentive 1st home buyers to build, but it does make it easier. 100k homes that are exclusively for 1st home buyers is also good policy that might take longer to realise. #auspol

I will give credit where credit is due, this is good policy. We can critique that it doesn't involve all 1st Home Buyers, or other ppl already with mortgages - but that's not the intention. It's to get more houses built. #auspol

Missed opp. by Dutton to say re. the WFH Policy was because Labor turned it into a scare campaign. Could have used it to say he's listening to voters and sometimes they get it wrong, and he's willing to own that. Humility goes a long way, and he absolutely flubbed it. #auspol #leadersdebate

I think the social media ban for under 16s is a watershed moment for the country and the world, akin to Australia banning guns in 1997 after the Port Arthur Massacre. We saw the infliction caused by these tools across society, and the government took the call to action to address the problem. (1/3)

Can't say the govt doesn't do anything. They passed 32 laws overnight, including U16 Social Media ban, child care subsidies, supermarket code of conduct, ACCC merger laws, card surcharge ban, BNPL regulation, 'Build to Rent', Future Made Australia, RBA Reform, University Student Ombuds (1/x) #auspol
