Michigan Attorney General. I love my kids, wife, cats, and country. But not Ohio State U.

Although I secured a court order releasing emergency funds, the delay of SNAP benefits will still be felt over the coming weeks.

If you’re able, please support your local food pantry either through monetary donations, non-perishable food items, or with your time by volunteering.

More than 1.4 million Michiganders risk losing food assistance because of the shutdown. It’s cruel and illegal to deny families food. I’ll keep standing up to the Trump Administration’s reckless disregard for people’s lives.

SNAP benefits will not be paid out effective this Saturday, leaving 42 million Americans to wonder how they’re going to put food on the table next week.

When Trump and his allies say “there’s a plan” for a third term, we can’t ignore them.

This is serious, and it’s on all of us to speak out against such a blatant violation of the Constitution.

On the latest episode of Pantsuits and Lawsuits, @krismayes.bsky.social and I sit down with former U.S. Attorney @barbmcquade.bsky.social to discuss the culture within the DOJ, leading under pressure, and how institutions can balance legal risk with their core values.

In Highland Park this weekend, I met people doing the work—supporting domestic violence survivors.

But without continued federal funding, we risk losing critical services. That’s a cost we cannot afford.

Earlier this week, my office on teamed up with local law enforcement in Genesee County to equip faith leaders and community members with practical steps to protect their places of worship.

My office is working to protect Michigan residents from Medicare and Medicaid scams. Stay alert, stay informed, and know we’ve got your back.

Stripping away federal funding from trusted providers like Planned Parenthood will only deepen these disparities and further strain our medical system. I will continue to fight to ensure that Michigan residents have access to trusted providers who deliver their care without political interference.

The spread of outrage and misinformation online can make communities seem more divided than they are.

It’s worth asking who benefits when we’re made to turn on each other.

Americans reported losing more than $228 million to gift card scams in 2023 alone.

I am joining law enforcement agencies, retailers, payment processors, technology companies, and consumer protection organizations to investigate and combat the evolving issue.

I joined State Representative @kellybreenmi.bsky.social & State Senator John Damoose today to announce the reintroduction of a bill package from the Michigan Human Trafficking Commission which would strengthen our statutes and provide support for survivors.

Fabricating testimony or evidence in order to defraud the courts drives a stake into the heart of our criminal justice system.

Exposing such conduct and ensuring that false evidence is not submitted to or accepted by our courts is vital to the safety and wellbeing of Michigan residents.

Over the course of 30 lawsuits, my office has recouped or preserved more than $1.6B in funding promised to our state.

As the state legislature negotiates the budget for 2026, we are working hard to bring your tax dollars back to our state, where it belongs.

I testified before the EPA in opposition to the agency’s proposed rescission of its 2009 Endangerment Finding that greenhouse gas emissions from motor vehicles contribute to air pollution that drives climate change.
