A pretty wonderful Mi’kmaw word and its hieroglyphic or komqwejwi’kasikl form, as used in a Michelle Sylliboy poem. The hieroglyphs are often said to date from the 17th century, but most Mi’kmaq believe they’re much older.
The Mi’kmaw word nksalninen and its translation as “we love you” followed by a series of heart-like forms
