Trump just wants to profit off the tragedy by helping Netanyahu stay in power and avoid prosecution. They are cut from the same cloth. More Gazans will suffer as a result, and it will spread across generations and decades after they’re all forcibly relocated.

I in no way defend Israel’s handling of the conflict. It’s horrific. I just think the US response to flood aid is in the desperate hope it will end it sooner. Israel is a solo actor here and Netanyahu should absolutely face justice for his crimes.

It’s a shitty situation and there are no winners, except apparently Trump and Elon who will dot the Gazan landscape with Trump Towers and Swasticars when it’s all over.

You apparently didn’t read what I wrote. We are their allies and the mission is to help them stabilize the region. We aren’t going to tell them how to do that, and we might not like their tactics. Doing nothing to help them is the worst option and would drag the conflict out for years/decades.

I can concede some real guilt now for not voting for Bernie, but at the time it really seemed like Hillary had no chance of losing to Trump. Nowadays I do think Bernie would be best for the country, or maybe AOC.

As much as I’d like this to be true, I can’t find any official reporting of it. The community needs to be careful not to spread disinformation when we tout that as a pillar we stand on and hold it over the other side.

Oh I’m intelligent. I know I’m going to do very well (financially) for a little while. I always do under Republican presidencies. I voted against my own self-interests, because some things are more important than money.

If they say all immigrants are criminals, you say immigrants are the backbone of the economy and their labor brings down costs for you. Keep the message personal, avoid the social traps since that half of the country doesn't care about social issues. They only vote for their wallets.

We will never know, but certainly I hope the democratic party has learned that you cannot run on sound policy alone. You have to win the popularity contest. When the other side does nothing but lie, you have to counter it point-for-point.
