Descendants of Toney and Nellie Strayhorn unveiled the recently approved marker of Honorary Strayhorn Drive in #Carrboro today. The Strayhorns are thought to be the first Black family to settle in what is now Carrboro, and their descendants have lived here since 1879.

That's right. And on a 1963 tax map, it was called Hillcrest Street (rather than Avenue), and Estes Drive Extension was called Estes Hill Extension.
