Her husband told her that detainees at Broadview had to get up at 5am to get in line for one bathroom. He often peed himself. One time he had to wait until 2pm to use the bathroom. You could only use the bathroom once a day. He said the agents would beat you if you used the bathroom on yourself.

Ellis also finds that the feds' use of force in Chicago "shocks the conscience."

Pereira Guevara says the holding area she was kept in was dirty.

"There was no cleaning. They never cleaned the bathroom," she says through an interpreter.

"One time we asked for a broom so we ourselves could clean. They refused," she adds.

Was he able to take a shower in Broadview?

"No. There was no place you could bathe," he says. He adds he wasn't able to change his clothes either.

He says the holding area smelled bad from everyone's sweat.

Moreno González further adds he was only given water a few times a day, comparing the water bottles he was given to a 10 oz bottle of hand sanitizer on Judge Gettleman's desk.

He says he was kept at Broadview between Wednesday and Friday, and fed only small sandwhiches.

He say he was never given a hot meal, was hungry, and lost weight over the days he was there.

Moreno González, after calming down a bit, describes toilets in the facility, and agrees they were only about an arm's length to where people were staying in the holding area.

"You can't go, because everyone is seeing you," he says.

Moreno González says he tried to sleep in a sitting position, but couldn't stay asleep more than a few minutes at a time.

At that, he breaks down in tears, putting his face over his hands.

"It's too much. It's just too much," he says.
