I wrote *another* article, yay! This time it's about parallels between genetic screens in model organisms and the mechanisms of inherited risk for complex diseases in humans, and how #AI may be leveraged to untangle these mysteries. #GWAS #Genomics #Drosophila #Cancer #Alzheimers 🧵

Ok, I'm glad you brought this up. Hear me out. Natives and Non-natives have the same problem, essentially. Most of us can't write a coherent scientific narrative. It may be more obvious when reading someone who has poor syntax that we don't understand what they're saying, and we may be tempted to 1/
Great read, although falling short of addressing how it's a totally different ball game for non natives where some of the arguments just don't hold.

Similarly addressed at natives, but my favourite advice on writing is this one though

I wrote something... about writing. #ScientificWriting to be exact, but I think it applies to all kinds of #writing.

@damiakpan.bsky.social a brilliant advocate for the profession, and brings so much energy as a MicroSoc Champion. Of course, I’m thinking of all the things I wish I’d articulated better, but Akpan is completely engaging and will make it well worth a listen when it airs. #MicroSky #UKRIFLF
