Also, at what point are the Cons going to try and unite their factions by proposing to retrain foxhounds on the scent of rubber dinghies?

I mean it fits that film a hell of a lot better. It also only confirms that when the person who made that Enterprise decision is finally taken out back and shot, the executioner shouldn’t stop until they hear the trigger go ‘click’.

A bit too dark? Only if you’ve never seen Enterprise.

He did say he may be gone for some time. Plausible he’s gone full cannibal by now.

I mean I’d also watch a Cyberpunk Bond.

In the good old days pirates were executed and their remains left hanging in port as a warning to others.

This man is nothing less than a parasitic thief. His claims to originality are disingenuous at best.

I too make extensive use of this phrase. In that perfectly sombre tone.

It seems to have been written less ‘for’ that type of player, and more to ‘deal with’ that type of player.

Largely because GW won’t endorse you beating them about the head and face with the book while yelling “Stop being such a wanker.”

Weird. Because brass corner accessories would sell well!

Wittgensteinians might argue that the solution is that the paradox is meaningless. You cannot have ‘duration’ in an instance. Movement in space of Achilles from A to B inherently requires the flow of time from X to Y. And if it’s meaningless, then Zeno has said nothing worth further discussion.

This thread should be used in evidence when we hang the AI bros for crimes against basic intelligence.

Tom Junod’s Pulitzer-winning “Can you say… Hero?” was supposed to be a 1000 word puff piece. Simply submit 10k and your invoice and expect the awards to come rolling in!

One of the strengths of Thunderbirds Are Go is that Scott truly comes into his own in the absence of Jeff.

In the og he was always being set up to ultimately take the reins (no doubt when Jeff decided to run for politics.) and Atlantic Inferno is a great study. But otherwise, yeah, characterless.

Wouldn’t that be infinite money?

20 years is a long time in some ways. But not enough that the fanbases wages have increased tenfold.

I know it only takes one. But I just don’t think there are that many super rich or celebrity fans, compared to something like Trek where this could easily meet that reserve price.

Also, it’s extremely important you all know how I feel about Mexican food, Mexicans, and in fact just Mexico in general…

If it’s any consolation (it won’t be) I thought you were cool when we first met. But I was 18 and impressionable and a massive fucking nerd.

Yes it’s like they’ve forgotten that the most successful anti-fascist campaign in history involved firebombing their supporters, nuking their friends, driving their demagogues to suicide, and then hanging their surviving leaders after international trials.

Yeah it’s baffling that in a world where Red has been associated with the Left since 1789, the US would arbitrarily do things the other way round. Good old exceptionalism strikes again.

Interesting seeing where the parallels are with UK politics, and where things seem to align more with how it goes down in the US.

Unsurprising that populists are populists the world over. Tragic to see the true left struggling under a lack of genuine leadership and initiative.
