Here’s tonight’s haul of books we read before bed, all of which she picked out herself :’)

Unfortunately for them, that is exactly what fuels me.

I parent firmly by the fact that what is a fraction of my adult life is the entire foundation of my daughter’s. I will snuggle her as long as she wants to be snuggled. I will carry her until my arms fall off.

“How do you get anything done?” as if in 30 years I’m going to give a shit that I didn’t get my laundry folded a little faster or start my dishwasher a little sooner. I don’t give a shit now, actually.

She is not a tiny squishy newborn anymore and time continues to be a thief.
