Maniac Mansion on the NES. The idea that you could freely roam this mansion and interact with virtually everything blew my 10 year old brain. I still get that feeling from some games now, 30+ years later.

I got the 'bad ending' on my first playthrough of Witcher 3. Still one of my all time favourite games but man, that ending was cruel.

So given the price difference, and assuming the upgrade costs maybe £10-£20, it's still better value for money to just get the Switch 1 version for Switch 2:

The day I stopped describing my game collection as a backlog and started thinking of it as a library was a good day. A library is not only filled with books you have read. It should be filled with both books you have read and those you want to read. Same with games.

Double Dragon for Gameboy. Christmas 1992, aged 10. I woke up ridiculously early on Christmas morning, maybe 4am, found this in my stocking (we had them in our bedrooms) and then played this on my Gameboy til morning!

So they have now retrospectively added in this disclaimer - but it's weakened by coming at the end of a very long review. The correct thing to do would have been to put this at the start... It's also a somewhat tame description of Luckey given what we know.

@takiudon.bsky.social How sturdy is the USB port on the FPGA Board? I ordered the Base Kit, RAM module and case. Hoping that I can fit all that together without needing the USB hub board? I only want to connect a single USB controller.
