Tech entrepreneur (real-time AI for emergency response; founded in 1990), father of 3 great adult kids (& grandfather of 2!), was a Progressive Conservative (in Canada; that meant 'fiscally conservative, but socially progressive'), now unabashed liberal.
I would personally bring Carolyn Clink (a local poet and fellow fan of yours) to it, along with her husband, best-selling authour Robert J. Sawyer. Hell, I could probably also get Edo van Belkom, Costi Gurgu, Marcel Gagne & Sally, maybe even Robert Charles Wilson and Sharri! It would be worth it!

I don't think so: the WaPo was the darling of the left for many, many years, and - for that very reason - was shunned by the right. Then, along came Jeff Bezos. The left.. left. In droves. So did most of their best journalists. Now the WaPo is largely ignored by everyone.
