I don't agree with the whole article, but wow -- did not realize that #WestEndGirl was recorded in 16 days. Lots of good background and insight from the author. I'd still listen to the album first and make your own conclusions, of course. Enjoy it first, lolz. pitchfork.com/reviews/albu...

My favorite songs keep changing (highly recommend listening to it once from beginning to end cause there is a narrative) but right now it's sitting pretty firmly between "Dallas Major" and "Let You W/In."

I've been talking to mostly femmes with at least some level of observable #neurodivergence such as #adhd and/or #autism. So many of the stories are exactly the same and very few end with a supportive solution. If you have stories you'd like to share, please holler! 🧵/end

The process for requesting reasonable accommodations is messy at best and depends entirely on your employer. The difference between red states and blue states can also not be underestimated. Even when it seems black and white, it's not. Eventually, the environment turns hostile and you're out. 5/🧵

It's frustrating to "have rights" guaranteed under #ADA but none of them protect you in practice, even when you have documentation of discrimination/retaliation. I'm also not sure if it's "just" because I'm #autistic but often I see non-disabled folks get access thru favoritism. For example... 4/🧵

Typically, I'm scanning these sorts of environments to see how others behave to get a sense of what's "appropriate" or saying no to a particular task or way of doing something (especially if it doesn't make sense. #autistics get it!) I'm continually stumped because it all seems so contradictory 3/🧵

As someone who works creatively to streamline processes and likes doing a variety of different tasks (hello #AuDHD!), I typically thrive in jobs until I start asserting boundaries. There are a number of unspoken social rules in most work places, especially about hierarchy, respect and "tone." 2/🧵

I'm with you! If you ever need a source on it, I'd love to talk to you. Pretty sure I know several of us that would. Devastated about #TeenVogue as I was just looking to pitch this over there. I've been wondering if the Sick Times would.

Would you ever be open to covering ADA specifically? I've dealt with so much of this and when you actually talk to attys or call a DRO you don't ~really~ have any rights, even if you have documentation :(
