Assuming you're in the US, it's possible the hospital you accessed care at has an office to help with this. Check if they have a financial assistance or "charity care" policy. (If they're a non-profit, they should for sure!)

If the US were part of the ICC, absolutely. But we aren't, and we have a standing law authorizing the president to take basically any action to prevent a US official from being tried by the ICC, so ...

I do too - but I definitely think there are allosexuals who will make the assumption, and other ace folk for it, and ace folk who will assume that's what's meant and feel like they don't belong in our community as a result. That's why I think the "not all desire is sexual" bit must be explicit.

I think we need to be very careful to address the assumption that desire = sexual desire if we go into this space, though. Because there are plenty of ways to experience desire for hypnokink that don't touch on anything sexual, and we have too many ace folk in our community to ignore that.

depending on what kind of furniture, they make these slings that you slide under the furniture, and then 2 people can team lift it with the weight more on their shoulders and hips than arms. They're super useful for big/heavy items!!

Quite specifically, we call it "Disney Deer" because the file uses the name itself as an open trigger - which, again, is sloppy AF, at best (and wildly unethical at worst). We're just trying not to trigger folk without their consent.

Nothing at all about it being some super powerful file. It isn't.

There is a physiological response to these irrational feelings, and in these cases, it's not as simple as throwing logic at them. Some survival instinct is being activated regardless of how aware you are that it shouldn't be.

hey. There are ways to get that charge reduced:
1) ask for an itemized bill. Sometimes that drops the cost all on its own.
2) most hospitals/health systems have a department that works with uninsured folk - ask if they have a "charity care" or a "financial aid policy" - if they're non-profit, esp.
