Just finished my last in office day of the year, and it'll probably be my last bike ride. Looks like I did over 1500km -- this is mostly commutes plus a few longer rides, not shopping trips etc. Can definitely see where I chained vacation and being sick over the summer!

My 6 year old has his 16 year old cousin for gift exchange this year (I have a big family. Grownups buy for one grownup; kids for one kid), and he declared that he would buy her a Shakespeare play "because everyone loves that guy!"

Not enough snow to ski, so on today's day off I went for a run (overdressed ❄️🥵❄️) and hung out in the kitchen (shown: chocolate topped candycane cookie bars, not shown: bread for dinner, which is minestrone soup).

More leaves have fallen in the last hour than all fall so far (put out ~16ish bags worth) and the trees still look full.

@auxonic I was a bit late with drop off this morning because I'm volunteering on a field trip. One of the kindergarten teachers or EAs had a Bluetooth speaker set up playing the Kpop demon hunter soundtrack and about 30 kids were surrounding it dancing and singing along.

With snow (barely) in the forecast, my hope for the winter is we get a decent sized early fall that sticks around for the season, without any disappointing full melts in the middle. #OttSki
