Not playing modern videogames, but Im curious: Are big-world games (like CRPGs) based on a round or a flat Earth? I.e. Is line of sight restricted by a horizon or by "fog"?

When you are the only one joining a group raid in Pokémon Go, terribly defeated by an enormous monster with no other trainers at your defense, you are either 7 years late (like my coworker suggests) or the only one playing Pokémon Go in your 1100-people-village.
Does that sound familiar to you?

For all the new ones on Bluesky, @darkpact.bsky.social @joedizzy.bsky.social etc, check your settings and turn the “show reply” switch off. Otherwise you’ll only see discussions with comments that have at least 2 likes. Which makes it hard for new people to be seen and to engage.

Ok, so I browsed old Tweets and realized that quite a few of the publishing companies that we have worked with in the past ceased to exist. Pretty much as many as new companies were founded in the same time. It’s constant come and go in our business.
Does anyone remember the card game Entropy by Rule & Make? Does anyone remember Rule & Make who have ceased to exist? Entropy was a fun push your luck / deduction game in the style of Get Bit. The Kickstarter version came with a mini book / novella. I just read that. Like an artifact from old times.
