Hi, I've added you.

I'm in Eastern, NC. The first lilies in the ground start popping up here in early March. I haven't had any issues with growing them here.

I put the scales in ziploc bags with damp peat moss for 3 months. The scales will form little bulblets at the bottom. Some of the scales disintegrate and only the small bulblets are left. I plant the small bulblets in trays. It will take a few years for them to become big bulbs.

You're welcome.

It works well. I linked to an article about it in another post. I didn't mention that I put the bag in a shoebox for the 3 months. I then took the bag and vernalized it in the refrigerator until I was ready to plant.

Fritillaries can also be scaled in the same method as lilies. Daylilies cannot be scaled. Several bulbs can be reproduced through twin scaling. This article talks about bulbs that can reproduced through twin scaling and includes directions to do it.

I had pictures of them in bags but I'm not sure where the pictures are. This is a great article that describes the process. I peeled from the bottom of the bulb. I wet some peat moss in a ziplock bag and placed the scales inside for about 3 months.
