“When you’re interested in science and dive into psychiatric research, your heart is broken. It looks convincing and persuasive and it’s written in very persuasive language. In reality, it’s replete with assumptions and bias, especially regarding theories about how psychiatric drugs work.”

7/ Real & Powerful Alternatives Exist:
Metabolic therapies focus on nutrition, lifestyle, and addressing root causes. They can transform mental health and improve outcomes—even alongside medication—but are often ignored in conventional care.

6/ Why This Matters:
Many doctors have limited training on the risks of psychiatric meds, safe tapering practices, or alternatives like metabolic therapies. Patients often don’t get the full picture and need to advocate for themselves.

5/ 4️⃣ Duration of Use: Is this meant to be short-term or lifelong?

5️⃣ Alternatives: Are there other approaches to explore? Yes, there are! But doctors often don’t know this. Even if meds are prescribed, addressing alternatives can still make a huge difference.

It’s truly alarming and totally devastating. We are the most psychotropic prescribed population generationally yet our collective mental health continues to decline. So many innocent lives impacted. I’m heartbroken. Thank you for taking action and your campaign to raise awareness.

This is exactly what has happened to my adult daughter, although it was withdrawal from antipsychotic meds not AD’s (she tapered as instructed). Her GP is currently diagnosing her resulting tardive dyskinesia as functional neurological disorder. It’s truly exhausting trying to get help.

I received my copy yesterday. Two chapters in and all I can think about is a term I saw someone use on here recently “corporate psychiatry”. Psychiatry for the good of the corporations not for the good of the community. How many more lives destroyed before the real risks of meds are acknowledged?
