well u could probably make a case for kaido, but here it looks different again and it's not quite the same as having the toe thumb straight back the way it is in the birdfoot, i dunno if this will be a plot point, but that would be kinda cool

and for some reason or another they called it something else, but they were in possession of the phoenix fruit for centuries (or maybe just the user of the phoenix fruit). the backstory is gonna be WILD

but there is ONE creature with feet like that. and his feet have gotten a lot of focus in this series. so i think the CDs are connected to the phoenix somehow, going back for a VERY long time

listen, okay, hear me out. the sign of the celestial dragons is the 'hoof of the flying dragon' which supposedly is the footprint of a dragon. and it's got three toes in front and one toe back, like so. but none of the dragons in the series have that configuration of foot.

in a modern au theyre former failed business partners because buggy embezzled all their funds and ran away and then came back to try to borrow more money but this time they know his deal and are keeping him on a tight leash (so to speak..)

crossguild is the funniest fucking ship in the world though. 10/10 s tier no notes.

i, personally, LOVE buggy. i think he's funny and entertaining and interesting to follow. i would never ship him with shanks because i also love shanks, who is a nice man and doesn't deserve to have to put up with buggy's nonsense 😭
