well u could probably make a case for kaido, but here it looks different again and it's not quite the same as having the toe thumb straight back the way it is in the birdfoot, i dunno if this will be a plot point, but that would be kinda cool

but there is ONE creature with feet like that. and his feet have gotten a lot of focus in this series. so i think the CDs are connected to the phoenix somehow, going back for a VERY long time

listen, okay, hear me out. the sign of the celestial dragons is the 'hoof of the flying dragon' which supposedly is the footprint of a dragon. and it's got three toes in front and one toe back, like so. but none of the dragons in the series have that configuration of foot.

oh yeah. also i think marco's opinion of shanks is MUCH higher than most people assume. he never once calls him an idiot or says anything pejorative towards him. the only time he talks about shanks is when he met with wb to talk about ace... he's not the kind to do anything stupid!
