This was SO good! Thoughtful, empowering, informed, witty, snarky and funny. Gah! Had a tear in my eye at the start, a raised fist in the middle and a contented, wry smile by the end! 'Mazin (speaking of ... Theseus/Ariadne on list?)

It’s a cold, dank, grey day in London, but there are moments of joy. I love these little drops of water clinging to the moss, each one holding the light from the sky.

Been wracking brain and Google for name of a book I read as a tween/teen in late 80s/early 90s with no luck. Girls mum is ill/dead. Girl sorts out and decorates house, with free stuff. Poss dodgy r'ship with a teacher, but not sure on that...

Between Ian Dunt's sort-your-shit-out New Years substack and Quiet Riot's latest pod with the concept of "preferred futures"... it's all getting a bit inspirational!

🌱 Bluesky gardeners - help needed! I have a terraced garden in south west UK. This year has been a YEAR and the garden is now a jungly, brambly, bindweedy wilderness. So naturally, mid storm Bert I've decided I'd like try to sort it for and during next year. Is it a write off until spring? 🌱

Passed a pair of hairy knees sheltering under a big, black brolly on drizzly dog walk tonight.
Owner of the knees was sitting on a v. low stool outside their front door and was on a video call to a friend, being supportive in a solid, blokey way
Turns out, we can have nice things
