As a social studies teacher, this is so true! Citizenship education. Critical thinking. Media literacy. Understanding of different perspectives. All are more important than ever.
For decades, Western politicians have told you: if we want to beat Russia & China, we need to focus on science, technology, engineering, and medicine (STEM).
Turns out, civics (social sciences and humanities) were bulwarks of democracy.
