My Spanish is no muy bueno but when it's 93 degrees in salguero Mexico, and the old white VW bus trundles through our little ranchito of 600 people, playing that lilting melody from my childhood I do know how to say "un palete chocolate porfavor." What a treat, for only 20 pesos! Life is good!

I have really enjoyed watching the WNBA these last two seasons but the officiating has been horrible. A coach shouldn't have to use all of her challenges just to get the right call. They are getting paid exactly what they are worth. Not much.

I'm 73. What I hope to do is live long enough to see our country return to normal and sane. Trump passing away might help facilitate that end but I have doubts. The poison has gotten into the body.

I drove through Chicago once many years ago. I remember that there were many tall buildings. The kind of tall buildings that kids would throw water balloons from and then run away. Just a thought.

I'm thinking Canada should rename one or two of the great lakes. Maybe Mexico could rename the Rio grande.
